As a manager, you are part of the leadership, not a spokesperson for your employees, all the way up to the master, team leader and foreman roles. Be clear about this. As a leader, you have a role model function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Live” the rules that apply in the company and that you expect your employees to follow. Demonstrate a passion for your work and show what it means to be willing to perform and what it means to be committed. Maintain the tone you expect from your employees. Be fair and reliable. Do not dress in a manner that you would not tolerate in your co-workers. Respect your co-workers and promote a performance climate and respectful behaviour with each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
