If you are involved in lean management, you will come across the requirement to avoid non-value-added activities, i.e. to minimize waste. This can be achieved by applying the Japanese 5S method. 5S is a process model for systematization. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5S refers to selecting, systematizing, sorting, standardizing and practicing self-discipline in order to be able to concentrate on the essentials.
