Apart from superficial financial benefits, are system certifications really useful?
For some organizations, a customer requirement may be that the conformity of processes with the requirements of DIN EN ISO 9001 is certified. Consequently, such companies will have DIN EN ISO 9001 certification performed. For example, as an automotive supplier, you can hardly avoid certification in accordance with ISO 16949 if you want to be considered in tenders.
In order to ensure that the certified systems are maintained in the long term and continuously adapted to changing conditions, the systems are regularly audited and, if the results are positive, recertified.
